Hakkaisan Yukimuro 3 Year Junmai Daiginjo Sake (BTL 720ml)
Ā
This bottle is aĀ Sake GumiĀ selection!
Inspired by how people stored their food throughout history in Niigata, Hakkaisan Brewery Co. piled tons of snow into a warehouse and created a yukimuro (snow refrigerator) that does not require any electricity and maintains a steady temperature of 35°F all year long.*
Aged for at least 3 years in Hakkaisan's famousĀ snow-pack storage facility,Ā Yukimuro is all things luxurious.Ā From its velvety, genshu texture to its aromas of fresh green apples, chopped nuts, and sumptuous vanilla custard, this a sake not to be missed for breaking the ice at celebrations, pairing with your nicer meats, or just plain treating yourself! Made with Yeasts #1001 and M310, is umami-heavy with an apple-like sweetness and a clean finish that can only be achieved through aging. When Yoko asked Hakkaisanās Global Brand Ambassador Tim Sullivan how he enjoys this sake, he said, āTo emphasize the dry finish I drink itĀ chilled. To enjoy the savory umami notes, IĀ warmĀ it up and pair it withĀ beef short ribs.ā
*Kayoko and Yoko visited the yukimuro at Hakkaisan āĀ see the photos!
